Editorial | 2016 Election​
SCA needed to contribute to the national conversation surrounding the 2016 election, but its 501(c)(3) status precluded direct commentary on candidates or policy. I wrote a piece that powerfully framed the issues without directing readers how to vote.

I expanded the editorial focus of SCA’s blog to go beyond participant-written narratives and started writing pieces that draw in a broader cross-section of our natural audience—Active 18 to 45-yr-olds who buy high-quality outdoor equipment and frequently visit national parks. Crowdsourced | SCA's Instagram​
I revived SCA’s dormant Instagram account and established a completely new aesthetic, crowdsourcing stunning landscapes from our followers and from the SCA program participants serving at national parks all over the USA. Our following has since grown from under 400 to over 9,000.
